MAGIC OF SPECIAL EFFECTS - ART AND THE REALITY.

Possibly, the special effects were invented to surprise, amaze, frighten , even to change our reality and sometimes to be admired.
It is not important as to what side of our life special effects get into... I.E. in film’s industry, TV, music, Fashion, computing technology and so on. The important is that this magic art gives us opportunity to change and adjoin the world of unusual things or even for a moment gives us a glance into the future.

INDEPENDENT INTERNATIONAL FESTIVAL F/X CON is the unique convent, which unites creative people of various directions: artists, writers, cinematographers, photographers and designers, hairdressers, stylists, make-up artists, puppeteers, costume designers, musicians and many others.

F/X CON is a place to:
Rest in a circle of friends.
Meet with interesting people.
Becoming a witness of unusual shows.
Find new business contacts.

The organizers of festival are eager not only to make provide good conditions for international cultural exchanges, but also to develop rising generation’s of creative abilities.
For this purpose there are some creative lines for children and teenagers. Such as: the master-classes creative, competitions, quizzes etc. The children have a chance to learn how the image of their favorites film stars are made, manufacturing of wigs, how high class hairdressers work, how to make masks, suits, puppets and so on. The children’s participation in the festival gives them more possibility to choose their further profession.

The purpose of festival. The Festival serves:

- To strengthen the international communications and cooperation in creative activities.
- To reveal and to support new talents in various directions of creative activity.
- To help the talented people in their creative growth and in perfect skill.
- To provide professional estimation of creativity to young poets and writers, theatrical executors, musical groups, etc.
- To promote cultural events and activity of creative people from different countries not dependent of their nationalities and age.
- To organize writer’s creative dialogues,
- To revival literary traditions, to attract attention to problems of saving the literary and mythological world heritage.
Creative meetings and the master classes, which will be organized in festival, will enable participants and visitors to open and to show their creative abilities, professional and life experience. Participants will have possibility to express their own opinions to crisis questions of culture, try to find together the positive and art-justified ways for the decision of actual problems, to support continuity and innovation. 

The Program of Festival

Organizers of festival have prepared the extensive art program, including the master-classes, competitions, opening days, exhibitions etc.

I. Thematic exhibitions.
The participants and visitors of festival have an opportunity for the first time to general acquaintance to see the rare collections and the exhibits accessible.
a)Master - class. Manufacturing of puppets for puppet’s theatres, show programs, cartoon films, etc.
b)The Phantasmagoria. The exhibits made by studio „Super-Phantom": the cult characters and the creatures from fantastic, si-fi and mystic films, by legends, myths etc.
c)The Great Masters of Special effects.  Photo-gallery devotes to creativity of outstanding masters of make-up and special effects.
d) The Mysteryon. The photo exposition of art photographs and painters: art photo, collage, computer technologies etc.

II. The Master class is in the form of demonstration of applied technologies, shows, professional lectures, workshop etc.

III. The International competition „Rarach 2008“

a). This competition unites professionals and amateurs from the different countries  who work in cinematography.
b)  High class Master. International competition in the following directions
-     Special make-up effects
-     Make-up for theatre, cinema and TV
-     Visage and cosmetic technologies
-     Hairdresser's art
-     Neil Art - art of manicure and drawing on nails (The art miniature)
-     Body art
-     Computer, audio and light effects
Winners of these competitions will be estimated by a special PRIZE!

IV. „The mysterious creatures in Bohemia“

a). The action units writers, historians, art critics and the specialists from esoteric etc.
The purpose of this action is to discuss and to attract attention to the tendencies of Bohemian literary and ethnographic mythological heritage.
Visitors and participants of festival may visit:
b).  Сonference "Bohemian mythological creatures".
This conference is based on the lerning of Bohemian´s ethnography , literature and art.
c). "The mysterious creatures".  The final costumed défilé.
